Full Harvest and World Central Kitchen Partner during COVID to Feed California and Now New York

In June, we announced that Full Harvest had been selected by Salesforce and the Curry Family’s Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation for an initiative to help support farmers and food insecure families impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.   To date, the program has delivered more than 60,000 produce boxes to families in Oakland.

Building on these successful programs, we’re thrilled to announce today that World Central Kitchen – the nonprofit organization that's used the power of food to heal communities across the US throughout the pandemic – has extended our collaboration to bring fresh produce boxes to the boroughs of New York.

During the month of August, Full Harvest and World Central Kitchen delivered 40,000 fresh produce boxes to help feed food insecure families in New York. Grown and packed on a farm on the East Coast, each box provides a week’s supply of nutritious fruits and vegetables for a family of four.

“When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the World Central Kitchen team stepped in as leaders and started providing immediate hunger relief for America’s food insecure families,” said Christine Moseley, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Full Harvest.” It’s an absolute honor to be a part of this effort, now extending our partnership with World Central Kitchen to help New York’s most at-risk communities.”

Full Harvest is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to play a role in these high impact programs helping farmers and food insecure families.  We’ll continue to post stories like these as we support more communities with our great partners.
